Postpartum Doula Services
Postpartum care is aimed at mothering the new mother and embracing the new or expanded family with caring assistance and encouragement. Education, emotional support, infant feeding help, baby care, and practical help around the home are all part of the doula experience. The Postpartum Doula’s job is to make the transition to parenthood easier for new parents, to help the birthing parent during their recovery period, and to observe the family's needs and provide the necessary instruction and support.
All Postpartum Clients Receive:
*Breastfeeding support from a Certified Lactation Counselor
*Babywearing tips from a Center for Babywearing Studies trained educator
*Physical and emotional support for the birthing or adoptive parent(s)
*Postpartum depression screening
*Newborn care instruction
*Sibling care tips and help introducing/integrating sibling(s) with new baby
*Light household assistance (focused on baby related tasks)
*Nursery setup and organization
