When I am hired as a birth doula I am in that role throughout your birth, but after your baby is born I am able to shift to capturing the first moments of baby’s life, initial bonding and nursing time, and family photos with mom, partner, any other supporting family and baby. I also provide lactation assistance and help with bonding in this time. Since I am a doula first and foremost I rarely capture the entire birth on film and advise clients who wish to have that experience to hire a separate birth photographer. Here are a few samples of images that I have had the honor of capturing for my clients.
