Placenta Encapsulation

Placenta encapsulation services are available utilizing both the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) method and the raw method. In TCM the placenta is steamed with warming foods prior to dehydration. In the raw method the placenta is simply cleaned and dehydrated. Placenta preparation can be done in my facilities or in the clients’ own home. I am happy to discuss the benefits of different methods and locations of preparation with you to assist you in making the choice that suits you best.

With my background in biological research and years of experience working with blood and tissue, I pride myself on my ability to prepare your placenta with the highest health and safety standards. I re-certify annually with OSHA-approved Blood Borne Pathogen training and food safety and handling training. As your placenta preparer I will be on-call for your birth to pick up your placenta as soon as possible after your birth and will make every effort to return your placenta capsules to you within a maximum of 48 hours.

Best Value Placenta Package – $260

Your doula or family member drops off your placenta to me and I process in my facilities using the method of your choice. I return your pills to you personally within a maximum of 48 hours from drop off. Your pills are specially packaged, and a cord keepsake is included whenever possible.

 

Total Love Placenta Package – $300

I pick up your placenta from baby’s place of birth and process in my facilities using the method of your choice. (I can also process in your home for a $50 convenience fee, if you prefer.) I return your pills to you personally within a maximum of 48 hours from pickup. Your pills are specially packaged, and a cord keepsake is included whenever possible.

 

Add-ons for either package:

Placenta and cord blood tincture: high grade alcohol is used to preserve the protein and hormonal elements of the placenta in a liquid form that will last many years – $40

Custom designed placenta salve: Organic shea butter, beeswax, and natural oils are combined with dehydrated placenta to create a wonderful, personalized skin healing salve – $50 Choose an essential oil scent blend for no extra charge.

Tree of Life placenta print: your one-of-a-kind placenta shape captured in a print of the fetal side (where your baby lived) on archival quality paper – $15
