Breastfeeding Help
Breastfeeding is normal and natural, but is definitely not always easy. Compassionate local lactation assistance is available and affordable; I serve the Westside, South Bay, and Long Beach areas with home visits. Early breastfeeding help can be essential to success!
Some of the most common concerns in the first months of breastfeeding your baby are having ‘enough milk’, latch issues, engorgement, sore nipples, and plugged ducts. As a CLEC, I am qualified and happy to assist mothers and babies with theses issues in the normal course of lactation. At a lactation counseling visit I will take a look at the breastfeeding relationship and work with you on positioning, latch, recognizing active nursing, and more. Before you leave I will answer any questions you have and we will make a plan together to address your breastfeeding concerns. After your visit I will follow up with you via email to track your progress and offer more suggestions as needed.
I assist families privately in their home at a rate of $50 for the first hour and $30 for each additional hour (first visits can take around 2 hours). Partners are welcome and encouraged to participate in lactation counseling visits if they so desire.
